Responsible Gaming
Last Updated: June 12, 2025
At Casino Time, we are deeply committed to promoting responsible gaming and providing a safe, enjoyable environment for all our players. While we believe that gambling should be a fun and entertaining activity, we also recognize that for a small percentage of individuals, it can become a problem. This page outlines our approach to responsible gaming, the tools we offer, and resources available to help you maintain control.
1. Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming
Casino Time is licensed and regulated by iGaming Ontario (OPIG#1240874) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). As part of our licensing obligations and commitment to player welfare, we adhere to strict responsible gaming guidelines. We believe in empowering our players with the knowledge and tools to manage their gaming habits effectively.
2. Maintaining Control: Warning Signs
Gambling should always be for entertainment. If you find yourself experiencing any of the following, it might be time to consider taking a break or seeking assistance:
- Gambling to escape problems or relieve feelings of anxiety, depression, or loneliness.
- Neglecting responsibilities at work, school, or home due to gambling.
- Lying to family or friends about gambling activities.
- Feeling the need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to achieve the desired excitement.
- Chasing losses (trying to win back money you’ve lost by gambling more).
- Selling possessions or borrowing money to gamble.
- Feeling restless or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop gambling.
- Continuing to gamble despite negative consequences.
3. Tools for Responsible Gaming
Casino Time provides several tools within your account to help you manage your gambling effectively:
- Deposit Limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits on the amount of money you can deposit into your account. This helps you manage your spending budget.
- Loss Limits: Define the maximum amount of money you are prepared to lose over a specified period (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly). Once this limit is reached, you will be unable to place further wagers until the period resets.
- Session Limits: Control the duration of your gaming sessions by setting a time limit (e.g., 60 minutes). A notification will appear when you approach or reach your limit, allowing you to log out or take a break.
- Cool-Off Periods: If you need a short break, you can set a cool-off period for 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During this time, you will not be able to log in or play.
- Self-Exclusion: For a more extended break, you can choose to self-exclude for a longer period (e.g., 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or permanently). During self-exclusion, your account will be locked, and we will take steps to prevent you from accessing our Services and from receiving promotional materials.
These tools can be accessed directly from your account settings under the "Responsible Gaming" section.
4. Protecting Minors
Casino Time strictly prohibits individuals under the age of 19 from accessing or using our Services. We employ robust age verification procedures during registration and ongoing monitoring to prevent underage gambling. We encourage parents and guardians to use filtering software (e.g., Net Nanny, CyberPatrol) to block access to gambling sites.
5. Seeking Professional Help
